Class Evaluation

1- I liked that in this class, it is really nice and very interesting.
2- Some things i didnt like about this class was the music and thats its always really quiet because it makes me want to sleep.
3- Make some time for students to discuss statements.
4- I really enjoyed writing in our life planning notebooks because it made me think of different goals i had for myself.
5- I think i did my best in this class because i did all my work and i behaved.
6- I am reading my life planning goals daily so i can have them in my mind and achieve them at one point.
7- I am committed to be a CTR student because i know that it will lead me to success.
8- I learn a lot of different statements that other people have said in the past, and i think that they are very helpful to be a ctr person.

The ultimate Choice

Of all the choices you will ever make, one choice supersedes all others - The ultimate choice. This one choice will help you to always make correct decisions for the remainder of your life. This one choice, the ultimate choice, is your keystone for being the best student and person you can possibly be. This one choice will forever affect you for the good more than any other choice.
The Ultimate choice is to be a CTR person - to always CHOOSE THE RIGHT 24/7.

Reflection: I think that this ultimate choice is what makes our lives better because we live it to be genuinely happy. I think that if we always choose this choice then we will have benefits and not bad consequences. Being a CTR person means to always do whats right even if it gives you temporary bad consequences. Being a person that does the right thing alll the time will lead you to success.

Reflection: I completely agree with this statement. I agree with this statement because it is talking about how to have peace in the world, we should be nice and good good character and know how to act. I think that to make peace in the world, everyone here would have to start choosing the right and doing no bad.

Teen Challenges

Challenges Teens Face Today

Some challenges teens face today are cyber bullying, sex, drugs and alcohol, grades, broken homes, violence and self esteem and body image. I think im dealing with stress, grades, and self esteem and/or body image. I think that being a CTR student is important when it comes to drugs and alcohol because if you are a CTR student then you would know that not doing those is better. I also think that it could be useful when having friend who influence you with bad things.
I think that talking things out and giving advice to
other teens would be really helpful for them.
Reflection: I think that the greatest need people have are
fitting in, school, and not being over scheduled.

Honor vs Cheating

A sophomore wrestler, Malik Stewart, lost a match against Mitchell McKee and instead of being mad that he lost, he went over to his opponent's dad and gave him a hug and congratulated him. He did not cheat and he lost with honor.

Reflection: I find this statement really important because its basically saying that its better to do something right and fail than to be cheating and actually win at something. I think that everyone should think that this is good because it is much better to fail by doing the right than win by doing the wrong. I think that if you fail doing right, you can win because you can always try again. I believe that choosing the right may not always make you win but you can do your best and never do the wrong. For example, i would prefer to fail my math test because i didnt study, than to pass it because i cheated off a friend.

Reflection: I think a lot of people can learn from these eight reasons to tell the truth because it explains why you shouldnt lie. I think that my favorite one would be number six. I think that it is very true because one you lie once, to keep your first lie, you begin to make up more lies. I think that soon after you start lying a lot, you begin to make it normal but you will get caught sooner or later.I think the one that is most important here is the last one number eight. I think its the most important because its about how you feel after you’ve told the truth. It says Telling the truth helps you feel secure and peaceful inside. I think that its important because when you have told the truth, you don't have to worry about getting caught because you know you have done the right thing.

Reflection: I agree with this statement a lot. I think that if you have good values in your life, it shows a lot about the type of person you are. I think that when you have good qualities and you are living life right, you have a lot more control over what happens. It’s important to have good values because you need to be a person that is good. I believe that values make you who you are. For example, A young girl feels like cheating on her test. But she had good values so she knows its wrong and does her own work. A bad example would be if a kid wanted to break cars, and since he had bad values, he did.

I agree with this statement because its basically saying that when you choose the right, you will get rewarded not necessarily physical rewards, but internal rewards. I think that the best rewards are internal because you feel so much better and you become better too. I think that as you become a better person and always choose the right and whats best for you, you will become a better person and thats something that happens in the inside. I think that when you gain self respect, dignity, integrity and self esteem, you feel so much better both inside and out. I think that Dr. Lauren is trying to teach us that when we choose the right, the reward isnt always gonna be in your hand but insde .

Phillip Riggs' Four Success Tips:
1. Work Hard
2. Follow your passions. Do things you are interested in doing.
3. Don't chase after money.
4. Serve others. Do good things for others and good things will come to you.

Reflection: I think that when you follow these four success tips, you become so much better. I think the first one, Work Hard, means that you always have to try your best. I think that when you give your work the best you got, you can achieve more because you are actually working. I think that the second one, following your passion means that you have to be interested in your job. I believe that you shouldnt have a job only for the money, because you’ll end up hating it. I think people need jobs they actually enjoy working in because they can look forward to their job and be happy and not so stressed out. I strongly believe that when the only thing you do is chase money, you will eventually become stressed out because you arent enjoying it as much as if you had a good job you liked and pays well. The last one means that what goes around comes around. Basically like good karma, I think that you can be good to others and eventually good things will come back to you.

Reflection: I think that even when the right thing isnt what everyone else chose, you should  still choose it because thats the best thing to do. I think that its always good to choose the right, again because it will benefit you one way or another. On the other hand, choosing the wrong can give you temporary benefits but soon will lead to bad things and results. Choosing the right has no bad results and will always be good for everyone For example, a group of kids ask a student to go to parties with them to drink and smoke. Everyone else does it so the popular answer would be to go with them. But he says no because he has better things to do plus he needs to choose the right.

Reflection: I think that this statement is so true. I agree with Wilford woodruff because you will never benefit yourself when you do something thats not right. I think that when you do something wrong or you choose the wrong, nothing good will ever happen. This shows that when you something good/ right you will be rewarded by good things coming back to you. You get what you give. I think that when you know you are choosing the right, it makes you a better person because you aren’t doing anything that you’re not suppose to. For example, if you lie to your parents, its very bad because you are choosing to do something bad. You willl not gain anything from telling lies because deep inside of you, you will start to feel guilty and ashamed. You will not being able to be in peace because you know you didnt do the right thing. I think that when you have done something right, you can feel it and not worry about anything bad happening to you.

Reflection:I think that when you choose the right, you have better days. When someone stands up to do the right thing, it becomes better because you aren’t choosing the wrong and you won’t feel guilty. So you’ll enjoy your day.  I feel like when you do the right things, everything feels right too.

Reflection: The best decision making is when you know something is right. I think that knowing when something is right influences a lot on how you make your choices in life. For example, when you know doing bad things at parties isnt right and people want you to drink, you say no because you know it’s not right. People might think drinking at parties is popular now but you know that doing that would be doing the wrong. I think that other people might be drawn to make bad decisions because they’re easier, popular and cheap. Those decisions lead to no good and can have their consequences. When you chose the right, you have the freedom to not worry about whatever might happen to you because you know you did good.

Reflection: I believe this is true because we are trying to make what’s good popular and to do that we need to be aware of the bad things we do. If we keep on doing the wrong, we are showing that we can’t do right and it’s making the wrong seem more popular and everyone starts to do it. We can promote so many good things and one of them is that we need to be kind to everyone. A lot of people don't take that into consideration much and we treat people however we want. I think we should start being kind because we would like to get the same back and not be judged or made fun of.

Reflection: i think that abraham lincoln has a point right here because he knows that standing with a person who knows what's right is good and that he should be true to himself as well. He stays being true because its the best thing to do when you have good influences around you. Abraham Lincoln is a ctr person because of how honest he is and the things he does make him a great person. I think that he knows that doing the right is the best because he will be more succesful and he will know he is doing right.

Reflection: I think that this statement is very true. Because you might enjoy something for a while, but if you cheated, its gonna hurt you and come back to you later in life as bad. I think that in order to enjoy something like you should, you shouldnt cheat. I think that most people forget that just because you got away with something when you cheated, it wont turn bad sooner or later, but it will.People should learn how to do things right and actually earn what you wanted instead of cheating your way into success and happiness. Because if you cheat one day, you will feel guilty deep inside,and sooner or later, things will begin to fall into place.

Cheating

Reflection: I think that Dale Murphy is a person with good character for putting this out there. He is right about not cheating because there is always consequences for everything. Not cheating means not doing anything to break rules. You cannot cheat your way into success because you will get caught. I think that it’s great to work your way into what you want but never by cheating because if you do cheat, you do not deserve that success in your life.

I  agree with this statement because it shows that associating with people that do bad things, says a lot about you too. When you hang aroumd people that are bad influences on you, it makes you look like one of them, It's better to hang out with people of good quality because that way you are more free. You dont have guilt or you're not afraid of what people think about you. You start making good decisions once you're influenced by good deeds. You should hang around with people that are good because they lead you to success and victory more than other type of people.

 Living life right has many pros, such as not worrying if something bad will happen to you. You won't live with fear or guilt within you. When you live choosing the right, you are way happier and positive about everything. I think this quote means that it's kind of like Karma, when you do something good/right, you get something positive in return. If you live life making bad desicions then you kind of have negative things coming your way. Doing whats right is way better because you get to enjoy life. Sometimes doing whats right might have some consequenses, such as telling the truth and accepting it. Even tho you might get into trouble its always better tochoose the right and never try to do wrong.
